The "Wolf’s Edge" Journey
From Sharp Screenplay to Killer Graphic Novel
An instrumental part of forging your own path is knowing when to pivot—and sometimes that pivot ends up making the project stronger than you’d initially planned.
With Wolf’s Edge, a survival thriller following 18-year-old Isaac Kilborne as he’s forced to survive alone on a remote island with only his father’s mysterious fantasy book as his guide, we decided the best way forward was to adapt the screenplay into a high-quality, kickass graphic novel. This approach achieved two key goals: preparing for a feature film and establishing the intellectual property in a way that would resonate visually with audiences.
Working on this book with incredible visual artists has allowed me to refine the story, develop the visuals, and bring everything to a new level—from character arcs to themes to striking imagery. The graphic novel has proven to be an incredible storytelling experience and an ideal way to introduce the Wolf’s Edge universe.
Now, as the novel nears completion, I’m more prepared than ever to bring Wolf’s Edge to life as a feature film. The book itself is also proving to be an extraordinary tool for generating excitement around the project.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but all I can do is tackle what’s in front of me. Right now, that means finishing the book to the highest standard and finding its audience. This story is killer fun and poignant, and the visuals make it a spectacle. I know there are people out there who will love it—they just don’t know it yet.
Our team is prepping multiple campaigns to fund the book’s production, and soon, Wolf’s Edge will be out there for readers to experience. I’m so pumped we didn’t just sit on a script. Instead, we MADE THE MOVIE in a whole new way, with top hand-drawn talent bringing it to life. I can’t wait to share it, but all in due course. It has to be perfect. We’re almost there…
