… and the finale is simply the overture.
This week marks a major milestone—chapters 1 and 2 of my first graphic novel, Wolf’s Edge, are going to print. While chapter 3 is still in the works, pretty soon these books will be in people’s hands. We’re entering the final stage of the creative process: sharing with the audience. After all, the work isn’t complete until the public can interact with it.
It’s the moment we’ve been building toward—about a year and a half of focused work (or 15 years if you count my entire history with this project). I’m not scared or nervous. The artwork speaks for itself. Many creators say that once you release a work, it no longer belongs to you. I feel that too… sort of. But more than anything, I see this release as the first step in a multi-year journey. My goal is to push Wolf’s Edge toward a feature film production and launch a whole universe of stories.
This feels like a pivotal moment—a time when the best work of my life is about to meet its audience. And now, we’re inviting you to join us on this journey. Already, the limited previews have garnered genuine support, and that’s both heartening and exciting. The World of Wolf has been planted… and the first harvest is upon us.
I’m especially thrilled that two of my best friends, producing partners, and key collaborators on this story, Gabor Harmat and Michael Amato, are coming to town! We’re throwing a huge rooftop activation in the heart of Austin (my amazing home) during the first weekend of South by Southwest. This is a family affair: best friends coming together, my Austin family helping with jungle decor, photography, groupie turnout, a DJ set—and even my brother is helping manage our online ad campaign. My dad is coming to town too… a lot of love surrounds this project, and that love extends to you, our current and future audience.
I’m savoring every moment because Wolf’s Edge is only going to grow from here. The train is leaving the station, and every moment is precious. There are many unknowns ahead, but as long as I keep Sam Wolf driven by love and family, it can’t go wrong.
